Trickers Lomond Arrives at Pediwear 18th October 2013
Pediwear introduces the Trickers Lomond - and read about our other MTO exclusives.
Tricker’s shoes have been handmade in Northampton size 1829, the year that London got its first uniformed police force and its first bus service, Abraham Lincoln made his first political speech, and Oxford won the first ever University Boat Race on the Thames. It is to this day a family business, now run by the fifth generation of the family and with a world-wide reputation. Their country brogue shoes and boots in particular are world-renowned and synonymous with quality and durability.
The firm is extremely honoured to hold a Royal Warrant from His Royal Highness, The Price of Wales, and has supplied His Royal Highness for over twenty years.
Pediwear is very proud to have been associated with Tricker’s for many years. In our Trickers Pediwear Collection we regularly include styles which have been specially commissioned by us, including variants of standard stock styles and others based on available pre-existing patterns.
Our most recent offering is the Lomond, an understated but stylish boot with a plain stitched toe-cap in Coffee burnished leather with Espresso scotch grain leather around the ankle. We are delighted with this boot which allows the wearer to dress up or down with equal flair.
Amongst our other recent styles we now offer the Bourton in either Acorn or Black with Dainite rubber soles; the natural light-coloured welt gives a new modern twist to this classic heavy brogue shoe. Shoes made on the 4444 last fit more generously than those on other lasts and we recommend taking a half size smaller than usual for this last.
We also have versions of the ever-popular Stow boot, again with Dainite soles and a natural welt, in Navy and in the classic Acorn colour; further stock of other sizes has been ordered and will be available in January.
The very individual Fixby is a personal favourite of our proprietor who can often be seen out walking the dog in jeans and a beautiful pair of brogued Chukka boots.
If however you have your own ideas of a style you would like to have, maybe in a different colour or with a different number of eyelets or a green lining, we can accept orders for an individual pair to be specially made to order for you. This process usually takes about 12 weeks. Please feel free to email or telephone us to discuss your requirements.
So many ways to own a pair of the very best of UK manufactured country shoes and boots, which will give many years of sturdy and reliable service.
